Automotive Interiors and Exteriors Testing

Automotive Interiors primarily refer to products used for interior modifications, encompassing various components such as steering wheel covers, seat cushions, floor mats, car air fresheners, hanging ornaments, dashboard decorations, storage boxes, and more. Automotive Exteriors mainly include bumpers, rearview mirrors, lights, anti-collision strips, door handles, air intake grilles, sunroofs, and other external parts.

Testing Scope

  • Interior Components: Steering wheel covers, seat cushions, floor mats, car air fresheners, hanging ornaments, dashboard decorations, storage boxes.
  • Exterior Components: Bumpers, rearview mirrors, lights, anti-collision strips, door handles, air intake grilles, sunroofs.

Testing Items

  • Mechanical Performance Testing: Abrasion resistance, tensile testing, flexural testing, compression performance, compression set, hardness testing, ball impact, drop-weight impact, operational force testing, vibration testing, collision testing, drop testing, three-integrated testing (combined environmental), gravel impact, etc.
  • Aging Resistance Testing: High-temperature aging, low-temperature aging, cyclic damp heat, constant temperature-humidity, thermal shock, temperature-humidity cycling, damp heat, UV light aging, xenon arc aging, carbon arc aging, ozone aging, etc.
  • Corrosion Resistance Testing: Salt spray corrosion, mixed gas corrosion, acid resistance, alkali resistance, solvent resistance, etc.
  • Flammability Testing: Horizontal burning, vertical burning, automotive interior material combustion, oxygen index, etc.
  • ELV Testing: Prohibited substances including lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), phthalates, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), asbestos, etc.
